A focused path toward cloud architecture & governance

I'm Samil Mahapatra, an emerging Cloud Governance & Solutions Engineer based in Dublin, Ireland. I'm from India, where I built my early foundations in IT, and I'm now building a professional career in Ireland.

Before moving to Ireland, I gained prior IT experience across support, systems, and cloud/service-management aligned work. That grounding gave me a practical sense of how real environments are run, supported, documented and kept reliable.

Today I'm pursuing an MSc in Electronic and Computer Technology at Dublin City University, deepening my technical foundations while deliberately specialising across cloud architecture, ITSM governance, cloud security, and enterprise cloud operations.

I'm drawn to the parts of cloud that are often overlooked: governance, documentation, security posture, and reliable operations. These are the disciplines that turn cloud from a collection of services into a dependable enterprise platform.

I am still building this specialised path, but I am clear about the direction: cloud systems should be secure, well-governed, documented and reliable. My long-term goal is to contribute that mindset to serious cloud teams in Ireland and grow toward cloud architecture.
